Story behind Khatkar Kalan

THE PAST IS NEVER DEAD, IT IS NOT EVEN PAST

WHAT COULD BE BETTER THAN HAVING THE SUN SHINNING  JUST ABOVE

As India is a country rich in touristic and cultural places, boredom does not exist while exploring the country, every path you make is a discovery of something new.

In Khatkar Kalan of Punjab, which located in the Northern of India, the sun bright high lightens the beauty of the village including the huge green garden, the library, an ancestral house, the museum and especially the joyful of the people.

As usually mentioned in my previous Blog, we can never be thankful enough for the generosity and sympathy of Indian people. Having a deep talk with the local will let you aware of the place's history. Visiting Khatkar Kalan does not only provide you astonishing view but especially will enhance your knowledge in India History.

While entering the village, the first thing you will notice is the big green garden where you can reconnect with nature, to clear your mind and to give you a peaceful moment

Also, embracing the memorial library inaugurated by S.PARKASH SINGH KANG (Tourism, Animal Husbandry, fisheries E'dairy Dev. Minister, Punjab) in the presence of S.PARKASH SINGH, Parliamentary Secretary on 28th September 2006.

Besides that, it is advantageous to visit the ancestral house of S.BHAGAT SINGH. He is a warrior, a revolutionary who scarified his life for the sake of India's independence from the British rule.

Still in Khartkar Kalan Village, to be able to know more about the history, the village gives you a chance to visit the Shaheed-E-Azam S.BHAGAT SINGH museum which in memorial of what Indian people endure during the war with the British.

From the entering gate, a big status of Singh is visible that shows his patriotism and strength  during the war which made him a warrior.

There are a plenty of history to talk about inside of the museum, unfortunately camera was prohibited so providing images is not possible. By the way, many expeditions are exposed inside to bring back the feeling of what Indian's warriors have suffered in order to get their Independence in 1947 and why Indian people should be proud of their Nation.

Last but not least, visiting a Gurdwaras becomes a little tradition, without talking about the free foods they are offering us, it always feel like home as it is a way to communicate and to exchange more between the students after every field visit.
