From Mumbai to Louis Vuitton: A Dream Come True for a Young Indian Man

A 20 year old Deepak Gupta, a young Indian Man from Mumbai, walks for Louis Vuitton and many other luxury brands. He opened up about his journey and what he has been through.

Becoming a model is about more than just having looks or being conventionally handsome. While physical appearance can play a role in certain types of modeling, there are other qualities and factors which are more important.

For Deepak, he was told that he would never become a Louis Vuitton model or walk for other luxury brands. But he proved them wrong by training himself, improving his self-confidence, and showing an incredible transformation during the final look for a Louis Vuitton fashion show, as well as for other fashion shows like Burberry, Emporio Armani, and Jacquemus.

On Tuesday, Deepak posted a powerful Instagram reel showing his inspiring transformation. The video started with an old photo of him wearing a simple white T-shirt and matching pants, standing confidently on the street. The caption read, "You can never be a Louis Vuitton model".

Then, the reel shifted to show Deepak's journey as he prepared for the Louis Vuitton show. He had his nails done, styled his hair, and went through a detailed makeup session. Finally, he put on a bold Louis Vuitton outfit, which included a camouflage jacket, animal-print pants, a yellow cap, and tinted sunglasses, looking every bit like the model he was once told he could never be.

If we define Deepak´s journey in one word, it is Perseverance. In short, while physical appearance can play a part, the most important factors in becoming a successful model are confidence, professionalism, adaptability, and the ability to maintain your health and fitness. It’s a combination of looks, skill, personality, and perseverance!
