ONE INDIA & ONE WORLD: A celebration of cultures at Lovely Professional University

Lovely Professional University (LPU) once again proved why it’s known for its diversity and vibrancy through its grand cultural event, "One India, One World." Held over three exciting days, this event brought together students from all corners of India and the world, celebrating unity in diversity through colors, music, food, art, and traditions.


In "One India," students represented every state of India, while in "One World," international students showcased the unique culture of their countries. The university campus turned into a global village, with stalls decorated in traditional themes, serving authentic food, and featuring cultural displays and performances. It wasn’t just a celebration, it was also a friendly competition where passion, creativity, and teamwork truly shined.

This year, the first prize went to Punjab, proudly represented by the LPU School of Physical Education. Their energy, authenticity, and beautiful display left a lasting impression. The second prize was shared between LPU School of Computer Science & Engineering representing Madhya Pradesh and the School of Electronics & Electrical Engineering representing Tamil Nadu. The third prize was awarded to the School of Bioengineering & Biosciences (Odisha), School of Education (Rajasthan), and Mittal School of Business (Andhra Pradesh), all of whom showcased amazing efforts and cultural richness.


From powerful performances and authentic traditions to delicious food and eye-catching decorations, "One India, One World" was not just an event, it was an experience. It reminded everyone at LPU that despite our different backgrounds, we are all part of one big global family.

Madagascar is facing a serious problem. In almost all areas, people do not have enough water or electricity.  In the capital city, Antananarivo, this situation has become very hard for families. Daily life is difficult when there is no water to drink or cook with, and no power for lights, fridges, or phones. Two members of parliament, Rakotoarisoa and Raharinirina , decided to take action. To show the problem to everyone, they carried yellow buckets,  the same type many families use to collect water and entered the parliament building in an angry and rude way to complain. Their protest, however, did not bring change. The government did not respond to their demands, and their attempt failed.
