EDU-REVOLUTION: WHY IS EVERYONE TALKING ABOUT THAT REVOLUTION?

The LPU Edu-Revolution is a big change in how education will be taught at Lovely Professional University. It focuses on putting students at the center of learning, making sure that education fits the different ways students learn and helps them use what they learn in real-life situations. The goal is to make learning more flexible and enjoyable, giving students more options to succeed.                                     

This change includes things like relaxing attendance rules, allowing students to choose similar courses, and reducing the number of regular exams, making learning
easier.




Edu-Revolution brings several key changes to improve how education works at the university, focusing on making learning more flexible, student-friendly, and practical.

Course Equivalence and Attendance Relaxation:

This gives students the opportunity to ask for attendance relaxation and find equivalent courses for some subjects. This means that if a student misses classes for a valid reason, they don’t have to worry about falling behind. They can also choose courses that fit their learning style and needs better.


Grade revision and overall welfare (GROW):

This focuses on improving the grading system and overall support for students. The goal is to make sure that students’ progress is regularly checked and that any issues they face—whether academic or personal—are addressed. It ensures that students have the right support to succeed in both their studies and their well-being.


Continuous Assessment Reduction trough Experience (CARE):

This change reduces the focus on traditional exams. Instead of depending mostly on tests, students will be assessed through their hands-on experience, like projects, assignments, and practical tasks. This helps students learn more effectively and apply their knowledge in real-world situations.

Madagascar is facing a serious problem. In almost all areas, people do not have enough water or electricity.  In the capital city, Antananarivo, this situation has become very hard for families. Daily life is difficult when there is no water to drink or cook with, and no power for lights, fridges, or phones. Two members of parliament, Rakotoarisoa and Raharinirina , decided to take action.
