RATINDER, a dedicated artist from the heart of India (From UP Uttar Pradesh) who is currently located in Jalandhar carries on the legacy of his ancestors by practicing Mandi, a traditional art form originating in the state of Uttar Pradesh. His son, following in his footsteps, works alongside him, their shared passion for the craft a testament to their family's heritage. However, the challenges of modern life have cast a shadow over their artistic pursuits.
Despite their unwavering commitment to Mandi, the financial rewards are meager. The can earn only 50 to 100 rupees for each customers, often outweighs the income generated from their work. The struggle to make ends meet is a constant reality, forcing Henna to supplement his income through farming.
Three years into his journey as a Mandi artist, Henna's initial enthusiasm has waned. The relentless pursuit of perfection, the demanding nature of the craft, and the constant struggle to make a living have taken a toll on his passion.
